KoLo Mee (Egg Noodles) with Chai Siew ©





This is the vietnamese cooking style. I learnt it when I ordered the dish in the Vietnamese restaurant. Instead of preparing the noodles like the Kuching KoLo Mee style (in next posting), we are going to flavour the egg noodles with Hoisin Sauce and some pepper.



Egg noodles is still the best noodles for preparing the Kuching KoLo Mee style - my personal opinion.


I have used wheat flour noodles (in next posting) for the Kuching KoLo Mee style, it doesn't go well with the sauces (Kuching KoLo Mee style). The wheat flour noodles gets sticky. 

Still, I would choose the egg noodles over the other kinds.

Ingredients and Preparation for 4

Buy Chai Siew (Barbecue Pork) from the Chinese Fast Food.
Buy egg noodles from Asean Stores.
Boil egg noodles in hot water, rinse in cold water and sieve. Combine boiled egg noodles with 2 tbs Hoisin Sauce and pepper, and blend well. Then add in Chai Siew, and boiled vegetables. Garnish with dried onions.
